Angelina's Story

Meet Angelina — A Sweet, Strong Girl Looking for Her Person

Meet Angelina, a beautiful black kitty with a big personality and a heart that needs a little understanding. Approximately 3 years old, Angelina is spayed, has seen the vet, and is in very good overall health. She has a strong, muscular build and tested negative for major health concerns. She does have hip dysplasia, which causes a slight wobble when she walks, but she still enjoys climbing her cat tree and exploring her surroundings.

Angelina is a girl who wants to feel safe, loved, and included in her human’s daily life. She enjoys affection on her own terms and has an adorable habit of kneading soft fabrics—and snuggling up right next to your head! She has a healthy appetite and appreciates having room to stretch out, explore, and enjoy the comforts of home.

Angelina is sensitive and expressive, so she needs an adopter who is patient, observant, and willing to let trust develop at her pace. When overwhelmed or upset, she may communicate with her teeth, so understanding feline body language and respecting her boundaries are important. With a calm, consistent approach, she deserves the opportunity to build a trusting bond with someone who understands her.

Her ideal home: Angelina would thrive in a loving indoor home where someone can give her plenty of companionship and attention. She doesn't enjoy being left alone all day and would appreciate having access to the whole house, cozy resting spots, cat trees, and a sunny window for birdwatching. She would likely be happiest as the only cat, although she currently coexists with two mellow cats. A very calm, accepting feline companion could also be an option, provided introductions are slow and carefully managed.

Angelina may not be the right fit for every household, but for the right person, she could be a wonderful companion. She needs someone who sees beyond her quirks, respects her sensitivities, and gives her the time and space to feel secure.

If you have a calm home, a patient heart, and room in your life for a special girl who deserves to be understood, Angelina may be the one you've been looking for.

Safe Haven for Animals's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process We have a clear and well-structured process in place to find the best possible homes for our animals in need. This process begins with you filling out our Adoption Request Form designed to collect important details and insights from potential adopters so we can match you with the best possible pet. Once complete, we move forward by setting up a visit for you to meet our cats in person. One of our Adoption Coordinators will provide a tour of our facility and introduce you to our available cats. Our adoption coordinators have extensive knowledge of every cat and can help answer questions about individual personalities, habits, and special needs. Should you decide to choose a specific cat during this meeting, we then schedule a home visit to deliver your new pet, ensure it’s a safe and suitable environment, and provide a care kit for the new pet. To support a smooth transition, we also make a follow-up call about a week later to see how everything is going to ensure both the adopter and the cat are settling in well together.
