Andy's Story

Meet Andy: a sweet, affectionate purring machine. He loves to give kisses and he looks forward to his nightly brushing sessions. During his neuter surgery, Andy crashed on the table and had to be resuscitated, which resulted in some brain damage. Fortunately, his personality remained unchanged and he is still an energetic and spunky boy! Andy had to re-learn how to eat, walk, run, and play, but he made the recovery seem easy. The accident left him with loss of some of his vision and he is a little uncoordinated at times.

Andy has his own bedroom that he stays in most of the time, but he does like to explore occasionally. He would do well in a home with dogs and/or cats, provided they give him plenty of space to adjust because he will likely have a longer adjustment period than the average cat.To inquire about adopting this cat please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions

San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition's Adoption Policy
Although our primary mission is to work on feral cat issues, we devote considerable time to adopting out TAME kittens and adult cats. In order to better manage the feral cat population, friendly cats and kittens are removed from the streets, placed with fosters, and spay/neutered before placing them up for adoption. Young kittens born to feral cats are ideally left with their mom until they are ready for weaning. They are then placed in a foster home, socialized, and spayed/neutered prior to being put up for adoption. Our rescued tame cats are all privately fostered in homes throughout the San Antonio metro area.
