Andy's Story
This lovable huggable big ball of fluff is Andy! Now you might have seen his post before, but he is a changed boy. He's still the same 4–5-year-old, found as a stray, mild mannered, soft spoken, smart, curious, fun-loving cat. So what's changed? His confidence! Andy has learned so much from the resident cats in the house!

Playtime! Often you can find him running from one end of the house to the other with a buddy cat. One way he's the chaser; the other way he's the one being chased. And he has figured out what all the fuss was about all of the toys that were all around the house. He loves to play! He prefers to have the toys tossed to him and he'll run after them. (Or when he thinks no one is watching, he'll just take off and chase after one on his own. But if you’re around, he loves it if you play with him!)

Snuggletime! Andy now knows that a cat nap is so much better with a friend beside him.

Standing Tall! Even with a resident cat that can sometimes be a brute, Andy can hold his own during a tussle. Sure, he'll still get intimidated once in awhile, but his confidence has grown so much! All he needed was enough time to find his true self and acclimate to new surroundings.

Mostly he's a lazy bum. He knows where the best beds in the house are. And he won't say no to an open lap – and make sure to keep the attention coming, especially scratching behind the ears!

In the past, when Andy got stressed, he had something called “stress cystitis” (which means he had trouble peeing when he was stressed). While Andy's issue with idiopathic cystitis still requires observation, he hasn't had an occurrence for several months, and the hope is that it will not happen again. Why did it happen in the first place? What caused it? We may never know. The special calming food that he eats daily helps with keeping him less stressed! And if his issue did recur, all he requires is a pill or two and he’s good as new!

Andy would love to have a friendly playful buddy cat or two in his new home to help keep him active and entertained. However, he would prefer a home without young children or dogs.

Andy is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. He is sure to make any home even brighter with his spunk and cuteness, so apply to adopt him today!

If you're interested in adopting, the first step is to fill out the application here:
http://bit.ly/3VDJfhm
