Anastasia's Story

Meet Anastasia! A beautiful 2-year old long haired girl who had a particularly rough start in life but has made great strides in her foster home! Anastasia was one of 13 cats in her home when she had been surrendered to us. And while she doesn’t have any aggression issues whatsoever, she is a very skittish and shy girl who will need a quiet home and a very patient owner to give her the time she needs to come around! While starting off in her foster home it did take some time for her to decompress and come out of her shell. Once she eased in to her new place, we found that she really loves the other cats and even the dog that is there! Other animals make her feel at ease and comfortable, as that’s what she has been used to. Her foster humans are beings that she tolerates now but her real love is towards other pets. Anastasia may never be a cat that will sit in your lap and cuddle. But she does enjoy being in the room with everyone! And she really enjoys being played with! You give her a wand toy and she will go crazy for it! She loves toys with movement so anything that move on their own that she can chase, string toys she loves! Give her anything she can hit around and chase and she’s a happy girl! She can be chatty sometimes too, especially in the morning when it’s breakfast time! Anastasia’s new parents should also make sure she has plenty of scratching posts and pads for her, otherwise the furniture in the house may get the wrath of her claws instead! As long as she’s given many alternatives for scratching, your furniture will be safe! Anastasia is ready to meet her forever family, are you the patient parent who has pets at home she needs? Catcalls Rescue's Adoption Policy

Please thoroughly read the following information about adopting a Catcalls Rescue cat/kitten before applying. Must be 21+ to apply. Fill out the form thoroughly. The more information you provide, the better! Incomplete forms will not be considered. Please do not apply on a whim! Out of consideration for the time and energy of our volunteers, we ask that you apply only when certain that you are ready and able to adopt. We cannot hold cats/kittens for adoption. Kittens do best when they have a friend! Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to homes with existing pets. All current pets in applicants’ homes must be spayed and neutered and up to date on vaccines. Cats in the home must be FIV/FeLV tested. Safety is a priority at Catcalls Rescue, so a virtual or in-person home check will be completed prior to adoption to make sure your furry friend will be safe and comfortable in their new environment! All Catcalls Rescue cats and kittens come with health records and are dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, and microchipped. Please note that due to a high volume of applications, you may not receive a response. We will reach out to applicants that are best suited for each feline within one week of receiving their application. **Emails asking us if we have received apps only slows up the process for everyone. We can't respond to those any faster than we can respond to a good application! Please keep that in mind! If you are the best fit for our kitties, you will absolutely hear from us! Thank you!**
