Amy's Story

Amy was doing her best to survive outdoors in a neighborhood with several intact males, and was probably a mom while still a kitten herself. Now, she is in a foster home with other cats; however, she prefers to be the only one. She can peacefully coexist with other cats or dogs that respect her space, but she isn’t likely to bond with them. She gets scared if male cats get too close.

Amy is approachable and will enjoy you petting her, once she feels safe. She is learning to play with toys, which homeless kitties don’t normally have. She enjoys having a window where she can survey the yard. She is very smart and listens intently when her person is speaking to her.

Amy is approximately 1 ½ to 2 years young, and weighs 6 and a half pounds at her grown weight. She yearns to find a home where she can build a relationship with kind and patient people over the age of ten.

If interested in adopting Amy, please go to our website homesforpets.org and fill out one of our cat adoption applications. We will get back with you as soon as we receive it!
