Around 9 months old, she was trapped along the railroad tracks with her sibling and several other cats. Amtrak is a gentle, friendly girl who is still learning that people can be trusted. She’s happy to share a room with you, preferring to watch from a safe distance as she gets to know you. She’ll need someone happy to let her take the lead and give her the time she needs to feel at ease. With patience and plenty of love, Amtrak is sure to keep taking little paw steps forward, letting her affectionate, social side truly shine!<br/><br/>Amtrak loves spending time with her shelter pals, and her curious, playful side really comes out around them. She enjoys running around with her feline friends and getting up to all sorts of mischief. A friendly, confident resident cat is an absolute "must" for Amtrak. Having a companion will help build her confidence and ease her transition into a new home. Although Amtrak is still quite young, we feel a household with children would be overwhelming. While older, mature, cat-savvy teenagers could be a possibility, a calm, adult-only home would ideally be the best fit for her. Amtrak is a healthy girl with impeccable litter box manners.<br/><br/>As the saying goes, the best things in life take time, and Amtrak is definitely worth the wait. She might be shy at first, but this sweet girl will have her future furrever family wrapped around her little paw in no time!
