Amity's Story

Amity, Female, 3 years old

Amity is a beautiful 3-year-old girl with the softest eyes and the gentlest soul. She’s sweet and shy, and right now she’s learning that the world—and people—can be kind. Living in a loving foster home has helped her begin that journey, and she’s making quiet but meaningful progress every day.

Amity is very timid at first, but if you speak to her softly, she listens with intent and warmth. She truly loves when you talk to her, and those calm conversations are her way of building trust. She may not rush up for attention, but her affection shows in subtle, heart-melting ways.

Amity would thrive in a patient, peaceful home with someone who understands that love doesn’t always arrive loudly—sometimes it arrives slowly, gently, and forever.

If you have a calm home, a kind voice, and a loving heart, Amity is ready to learn that she’s finally safe.

All cats receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, and spayed/neutered. Cats over 3 months of age are microchipped and FIV/feline leukemia tested.

No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will not be accepted in advance and will be filled out at the shelter upon adoption. We want you to meet the purrrrfect feline for you and your lifestyle! FAPL is open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 11am-6:30pm. Sundays 12:00-3:00pm. Closed to the public Mondays. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment.

Upon adoption, all cats must go home in a carrier. You may bring one of your own or purchase one from FAPL for a small fee. Please remember, the carrier cannot be opened until safely within your home.
