Amila's Story

Amila is a beautiful young gal who is a little more than a year old (born approximately 8/29/2024). She has all the best traits of a young cat who enjoys playing but also loves being petted and snuggling not only with humans but also with the 105 pound dog in her foster home. It’s fun to see her give the dog a head bump and make biscuits on his face (obviously the dog is a very well behaved dog to allow her to do this).

Amila loves to be brushed, is a lap cat and enjoys having her belly petted. She is a greeter to anyone who comes over but we aren’t sure how she would be with young children as she has never been around any. She also hasn’t lived with other cats before but with a slow, proper introduction, that may be just fine. She sleeps at night with her foster mom and the foster dog and will most certainly want to do that in her new home also. If she doesn’t think you are giving her enough attention, she will grab your hand gently with her paws and encourage you to start petting her or she will flop on her side and roll around until she is noticed.

She can be quite vocal when she wants attention and she has a big purr when she is being petted. She is also a “master biscuit maker” with her kneading skills. She enjoys playing with small toys and will grab any hanging thing she can find so you may want to keep her away from your closet with hanging clothes. She has a favorite scratcher that will go with her to her new forever home and she does goes great having her nails clipped.

Amila is a very friendly, outgoing, curious, and loving cat with beautiful coloring. As a young cat, she has many years of joy and love to provide to a new family. Ask us about her today!
