Amelia Black's Story

Move over, Dracula. Go sparkle somewhere else, Edward. Everyone's favorite vampurr is officially taking applications for a mortal servant! Amelia Black is as black as the night sky, as sweet as candy and as snotty as a preschool classroom. Yes, her epically runny nose may be something she deals with the rest of her life, or it may just take some trial and error lifestyle changes (she's been on meds and to the vet, but nothing has helped so far). What she needs no assistance with is charming everyone who gazes at her glistening white fangs and gorgeous sea-green eyes.

Amelia is about 1.5 years old (and is likely immortal) and was first adopted from us when she was a baby. She came back to us with her sister Stubs after their owner could no longer care for them. While they get along, they don't appear totally bonded and would do fine in separate homes. Amelia is good with other cats and dogs, and she's never met a human she doesn't like, especially if they have treats. Amelia is a chill couch potato who loves pets and scratches behind her ears and under her chin. She's spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Apply to adopt your new best friend at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions.
>> PA kennel license #04944?

Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process: 1) Fill out an application on our website at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt. Please note that submitting an inquiry through PetFinder or other online listing does not constitute an adoption application. Applications can also be downloaded as a pdf and emailed to secondchanceas@yahoo.com or filled out at the sanctuary any time we're open. 2) We will process your application by calling your veterinarian and personal references. How long this takes depends on how quickly we can reach them. You can help expedite this process by letting them know we'll be calling from the number 570-376-3646. We may also call you to ask additional questions or to share pertinent information about the animal you've applied for. 3) We will inform you of your application's status, usually in a few days to a week. Even if the animal you hoped to adopt goes to another home, you still may be approved to adopt another animal. We attempt to match animals to homes that best fit their personality/needs and vice versa. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
