Amelia's Story
Amelia is about 1 year old and is a confident, affectionate young cat with a playful streak. She’s curious and social, and she has no problem hopping right into your lap or claiming your desk chair as her favorite spot. Amelia is friendly and engaged with her people, and her slightly larger-than-average size only adds to her charm. Comfortable around new people, she greets visitors with quiet curiosity rather than hesitation.

She loves to sleep with her humans and has an especially sweet morning routine: if you’re lying on your back and pat your chest, she’ll climb right up for cozy morning cuddles. Amelia still plays enthusiastically with toys like a kitten, and when she curls up in your lap, she often stretches out completely and settles in for a long, peaceful nap. With her striking greenish eyes and sleek tabby coat, Amelia is as beautiful as she is loving.

Amelia has lived with other cats and is a bit of a bossy girl who expects to be first in line at the food dish and have her choice of available laps and interesting toys. She could do well with another confident and athletic cat. We don't know her experience with dogs, but we suspect she might enjoy living with a respectful dog who could match her energy as a playmate. She gets along with young kids who are kind and gentle.

Amelia has been spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up to date on vaccines. The adoption fee is $100.

If you are interested in meeting Amelia please complete the adoption interest form on our website (www.pdx-petadoption.org) and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly.

Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering our pets for adoption.
