Amelia's Story

Amelia was trapped along with her mom and four siblings at her colony and brought to Carma.
She is an easy going kitten who loves wet food, treats, toys and napping on the comfiest blankets!
She was born July 2025.
Her and her 3 sisters all tested positive for Feline Leukemia, a viral infection that weakens their immune system, increases their susceptibility to other diseases, can cause blood disorders and can cause cancer. This virus can be transmitted to other cats through body fluids so she needs to be an only cat or in a home with another Feline Leukaemia positive cat. She loves other cats so if you have an FeLV positive cat Amelia would make a great addition to your home or she would love to be adopted with one of her sisters!

Please consider adopting Amelia into your loving home. If you can’t adopt her, please share her story and help her find her forever home.

If you are interested in adopting Amelia, please contact us at frederictoncarma@gmail.com.

Fill out an adoption application here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfZFfrReR_SFRgIQYba6kxfNkxsiQ0bktXtIIrJb_ZRPKQbcg/viewform?fbclid=IwAR1U6c4NbehUd-O2WaqGAxpZvrcuovBBlDXKgSEGbvyZGPkORDyB21KaHGs

As of October 2024, the adoption donations will be:

- Adult cat (over 12 months): $125
- Kitten (12 months and under): $200

Would you like to make a one-time donation to help cats like Amelia? CARMA, Fredericton Chapter's Adoption Policy
So, you've found your potential new best friend... send us an email and we'll get the ball rolling for you! All cats and kittens available for adoption by CARMA Fredericton are treated to ensure they do not have fleas, ear mites, roundworm, tapeworms, or heartworm. They are spayed/neutered and vaccinated at Ca-R-Ma's expense. We do not sell cats or kittens; instead we request that adopters donate to our spay/neuter fund. This amount can change from time to time - please check with our volunteers for the current minimum donation. CARMA does not have a shelter but instead relies on a network of loving foster homes to help us socialize and care for adoptable cats.
