Ameera's Story
***Ameera is located in Amman, Jordan. She will be brought to the US once she gets an adopter. Interested applicants will be connected with her foster in Amman for virtual meet and greet.

Say hello to Ameera! Her name means "Princess" in Arabic. This poor girl was the victim of a fox attack that required the amputation of her left hind leg. She has made a full recovery at her Foster's apartment and is now a happy, active housecat.

Even though Ameera had never encountered a human before being attacked by a fox she is a very affectionate little cat. She is the first one to greet her foster human when he enters the apartment and will stand by his feet and howl until she gets petted. She can be lifted gently and will rub her face against her foster's nose while he gives her pets and cuddles.

Despite her injury and the trauma she endured, Ameera loves to play with toys and wrestle and chase her fostermates. Her missing leg does not affect her ability to run and jump and play at all. She enjoys sleeping in her kitty cat bed near the window soaking up the sunshine and watching the birds on the balcony.

Households with dogs and children would be unsuitable for Ameera. Her ideal furever home would be a quiet one where she would be the only cat or with another calm, relaxed cat. Her adopter would have to be very patient with her and shower her with love to let her know that she can let her guard down and relax. After all she has been through this precious girl has so much potential to be the perfect pet.

Ameera is about 2 years old, spayed and microchipped. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and is FIV/FeLV negative.

The adoption fee for Ameera is $200.

Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Cat

If you are viewing on Petfinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this kitten, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org

***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.***

Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.
