Amarillo's Story

Meet Amarillo, a buff little tabby boy who was abandoned by his owners along with 19 other housemates. They were scattered throughout a neighborhood and miraculously a kind family attempted to care for all of these kitties and were so appreciative Second Chance stepped in to help these cats become adoption ready.

Amarillo is an adorable, little buff ball. He exudes innocence and it's hard to understand how he could have just been abandoned. He is shy but if you sit down and go slowly he likes pets and has a wonderful loud purr. Quick movements make him retreat. He just needs a little time to build some confidence. He will need a patient adopter willing to go slow, provide reassurance, play time, and gentle pets. He is a love bug in waiting.

We believe that kittens are happiest when they have another kitty to play with so Amarillo will need to be adopted with another kitten here like Burrito or already have a young playful cat at home.

Amarillo has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Amarillo has an approximate birthdate of 03/10/2025. His adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Amarillo or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
