She has medium short, incredibly silky fur that your hands just glide across. Alise is a sweet, in-your-face kitten, who is always up for a back scratch, a huge purr and a kitten kiss before she is back to gallumphing through the house chasing one of the dogs or the other foster kittens. She is so much fun; I will really miss her! Aline enjoys the other pets but she is much more attached to her human. She sleeps with me and the other cats and dogs at night and she has the most beautiful melodious purrrrrr ever. She gets a 12 on a scale of 1-10 on the Purrrometer!. Aline does this incredibly endearing thing: she likes to lick my face or hands with her little rough tongue; it's catch-in-your-throat sweet. She is also very smart. She learned to come for food to my kitten clucking in a couple of days while other kittens often take a week to get it. </span></p><br/><p>&nbsp;</p><br/><p><span style="color: navy; font-size: medium;">Alise follows the dogs around, is very interested in everything that goes on and if she disappears under the bed when the dogs bark at the door, she's only gone for a nanosecond before her cute little face pops up again. I just adore her; I love how she won't take no for an answer when she wants affection, how curious she is about everything, how she loves the dogs even though they sometimes make her scoot out of the way (my dogs are young and very noisy), how she comes into the kitchen to supervise my cooking and how adorably curious she always is. </span></p><br/><p>&nbsp;</p><br/><span style="color: navy; font-size: medium;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: medium;"><em><strong>Alise was rescued from an environment where she was not socialized and although she is ultra-affectionate to me, <br />she does not warm up to strangers. She tends to startle at loud noise or commotion <br />and will hide until she feels safe again, which is taking less and less time as she gets more comfortable here.<br /> However my home is full of dogs, cats and fosters and Aline needs a much quieter household to fully blossom. <br />Please no children for this slightly shy girl, but another young cat or kitten and/or a cat-friendly dog would be perfect.</strong></em></span></span><br/><p>&nbsp;</p><br/><p><span style="color: navy; font-size: medium;"><br /> <span style="color: green; font-size: medium;"><strong>BITTEN BY A KITTEN RESCUE</strong></span> <span style="color: navy; font-size: medium;">kittens are ALWAYS spayed or neutered so that they will never contribute to the horrendous overpopulation of cats and kittens in this country. All kittens are also treated for fleas with Revolution or Advantage, wormed at least once and have had their first FVRCP vaccinations. One of the litter has tested negative for FIV/FeLV and they have been vet-checked as healthy. They are well-socialized, 100% litter box reliable and have no bad habits.</span> </span></p><br/><p>&nbsp;</p><br/><p><span style="color: navy; font-size: medium;"><span style="color: green; font-size: medium;"><strong>BITTEN BY A KITTEN RESCUE</strong></span><span style="color: navy; font-size: medium;"> is a private kitten rescue in the East Bay. We rescue orphan kittens from the community and kittens that would otherwise be put to sleep in area shelters. We take kittens from private homes <em>only </em>if we can make sure the mama cat gets spayed. We raise our kittens underfoot and treat them with love and attention to become affectionate, well-adjusted house cats.</span></span></p>
