Alina's Story
Alina is the littermate and sister of Areli. They came to us from an outdoor colony of cats that were bring TNR'd. They came in very scared and borderline feral. After a few months of working with them, they really turned a corner. They still definitely prefer the company of one another and other cats to humans, but they are far more willing to play with us and let us pet and hold them now.

Areli and Alina may never be super cuddly lap cats. We do feel like they can be a good companion pair to someone who respects their space, and wishes to love them and take care of them without expecting a lot of affection in return.

Recently, we thought we found an adopter for these girls. Someone applied, and wanted to take them together. The application sounded great, and after a few conversations back and forth, we felt really good about their future together. We usually offer a discount of $225 for a pair of kittens, but the person asked us if we could go any lower. We decided to give them a "2 for 1 deal" for $150. Two days before the scheduled adoption, we were asked if there was any way we could drop the price to $100. Us seeing the girls stay together was more important to us than the money, so we agreed. The girls received baths and had their nails trimmed. They were all ready with little "go bags" full of treats and toys to take with them to their new forever. The morning of the adoption, we sent a picture of them to the person, saying "We cant wait to meet you tonight!" to which we got back a smiley face emoji with heart eyes.

that night, the scheduled adoption time came and went. We texted, called, and left voicemails. An hour and a half later, we received a text that simply said 'I won't be adopting Alina and Areli. I found another cat I like better."

We are in no position to judge, and we hope that person is happy with their new kitty, but we cant help but feel bad for these poor mini house panther sisters.

But we would like to turn their setback into their (and your!) gain. The new price for these two will be $100 for anyone who decides to step up and save the day!

We are hoping to find an adopter who is willing to take both of these girls together, because they definitely are bonded, and while they aren't the biggest fans of people, they play ALL DAY LONG, very loudly at times,in the safety of their room.

Alina is 10 months old, and she is already fixed, vaccinated, and has tested -/-.

She is available for adoption, but priority will be given to someone willing to adopt her with her sister.
