Alice Luca's Story

Alice was saved just hours before her scheduled euthanasia with her only remaining kitten.

Alice had been surrendered as a stray to ACCT where she promptly had 5 kittens. Alice proceeded to do her best as a mother but the stressful environment and her digestive issues caused her to be fecal incontinent and slowly 4 of her 5 kittens lost their lives. When ACCT sent out plea after plea to get help for Alice and her remaining 1 week old kitten, citing over and over how sweet and deserving she was, we knew we had to step in.

Alice and Echo arrived at our hospital on 06/30/24 and have been thriving every since. Echo, her sole survivor, is blind from an awful URI they came battling but she does not let that stop her and Alice is an amazing mom.

With a special diet and treatments Alice is no longer having the same digestive issues she was and is healthy and happy. She is still nursing Echo for 2 more weeks but after Echo is weaned she will be spayed, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. She is FELV/FIV negative, had clean adult bloodwork done, clean urine, and a negative fecal already.

Alice gets along with everyone and everything. She has happily shared the office with 2 other ACCT rescues and has become fast friends with them and the office adoptable rabbit. She is not phased by dogs and loves to be pet and loved on by humans.

Alice is still young and enjoys playing with toys and chasing feather wands but is also content to nap near you and purr away as you rub her chin and tummy.

Alice will be adoptable in a few weeks but if you would like to meet her please let us know!
