Alice's Story

Alice is a sweet Domestic Shorthair who was also transferred from another shelter, where there simply wasn’t room for more indoor cats and was born in September 2025. Luckily, she was given the chance she deserved—because Alice is far too gentle and loving for life outside. This curious girl is full of kitten fun, enjoying playtime, exploring, and cuddling once she’s tired herself out. Alice is affectionate, bright, and ready to blossom in a cozy indoor-only home. With proper introductions, she could live happily with other cats, dogs, or children. If you’re ready to add a loving, playful kitten to your home, Alice would love to be your new best friend. Benld Adopt-A-Pet's Adoption Policy

To adopt you must live within 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld, O’Fallon or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age. We require that you be physically present to make the final adoption arrangements. We also require that all cats be kept indoors, and that all dogs be kept or live indoors, with a secure fenced-in yard or pen for when they are outside, unless otherwise discussed and mutually agreed upon ahead of time. Failure to comply with any of these requirements may constitute sufficient grounds for our reclaiming the adopted animal. In order to adopt, you must first complete an Adoption Inquiry, and upon approval, an Adoption Agreement.
