Meet Alfie, a loving FIV+(Feline Immune Deficiency Virus) kitty who was found all alone, soaked and meowing in an Apartment complex parking lot. He’s been a gem since he arrived at Animal Nation and he’s now ready for his forever home.  Despite having FIV Alfie is just like any other cat!  Did you know that the vast majority of FIV-positive cats live long, healthy and happy lives? FIV-positive cats can also live safely in a household with non FIV positive cats provided they get along. Alfie’s really the kind of cat people fall in love with and it would be such a shame if some common misconceptions about FIV prevented him from being given a chance. FIV sounds very scary but it’s not easily transmitted to other cats and cannot be transmitted to humans or other pets. With routine veterinary care we don’t see a reason for Alfie not to thrive.
