The Animal Welfare Society's Adoption Policy
We look forward to helping to match you with your new best friend and supporting you throughout the adoption process. Adopters are welcome to visit our Adoption Center without a scheduled appointment to meet and adopt pets including dogs, cats, birds and small animals. The Adoption Center is open Tuesday – Sunday from 10 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 4 pm, with the last adoption meet or scheduled appointment at 3:30 pm. The 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm closure coincides with our quiet time in the kennels, where our pets receive mental enrichment and have a chance to decompress. We are closed Mondays for staff training and extra animal enrichment.
If a pet is listed as available in foster care, please call first so we can arrange a time for the foster family to bring the pet back to AWS. All foster meetings take place at AWS.
All adoptions are on a first come, first served basis.
