Aldean's Story

Meet Aldean, a shy, sweet little patch tabby guy. One of many kitties who came from a farm overrun with cats when one of the owners died, the other elderly who became overwhelmed with the cats overpopulating and unable to feed or care for those with medical needs. The location of the farm is located between two counties so the kitties who have been trapped are called the "south county line kitties" and are named after country western singers.

Aldean ís super soft and super cute. He is trying hard to work on his confidence but much of the time he likes to be some type of cubby and appreciates a blanket over himself. Recently, Aldean has gained some confidence and is venturing out to play with the wand toy. He is getting braver every day!

Aldean will need a patient adopter, one who is okay with working a little harder for the reward of cat affection. We believe Aldean will eventually be more outgoing but will need an adopter who gives him time, soft, gentle pets and a small space to acclimate.

Aldean finds comfort in other friendly cats. He would do best with another shy friendly from here or a resident cat who wants a cuddle friend. Aldean needs a quieter home with routine. A single adopter or couple would likely be best. If you have a soft spot for the shy guys then take a look at Aldean. he is a gem waiting to be discovered.

Aldean has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Aldean has an approximate birthdate of 08/09/2024. His adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in any Aldean or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
