Here’s what his foster volunteer says about him, after only a week in foster care:<br/><br/>How would you describe the cat's general personality?<br/><br/>Alaska loves to play, especially in the early morning hours. He is highly food motivated and will tell you how happy he is to be served breakfast and dinner with many meows and chirps of excitement. He also likes his alone time and spends most of the day napping by a window. He is also always looking for a new hiding spot!<br/><br/>Does the cat enjoy being pet?<br/><br/>Yes!<br/><br/>If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet?<br/><br/>He loves being pet on the head, cheeks and chin.<br/><br/>Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched?<br/><br/>He does not like being pet on his body and will playfully show you his belly but don't pet (it's a trap!)<br/>Does the cat come on your lap?<br/><br/>Very much.<br/>Does the cat like to be held?<br/><br/>I don't think he loves it but he will allow it.<br/>Does the cat sleep in your bed?<br/><br/>Yes! Other than that he is relatively quiet and laid back.<br/>What kinds of sounds does the cat make?<br/><br/>Meows and chirps!<br/><br/>Does the cat scratch a scratcher?<br/><br/>Yes.<br/><br/>Does the cat always use the litter box?<br/><br/>Yes.<br/><br/>What food and frequency is the cat currently eating?<br/><br/>He eats a mix kibble and wet food for breakfast (around 10-11am) and dinner (6-8pm) and has a small portion of wet food in between (5-6am and around 11pm).<br/>Is the cat picky about food?<br/><br/>No.<br/>What is the cat's favorite treat?<br/><br/>Churus!<br/><br/>Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances?<br/><br/>Sometimes if he is in a playful mood, but rarely.<br/>Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you?<br/><br/>No.<br/>Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you?<br/><br/>Yes, if he is done being pet or overstimulated but usually his body language is easy to read so avoid this.<br/>Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)?<br/><br/>No.<br/><br/>To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful?<br/><br/>He is definitely shy with new people but will tolerate being in their company especially if they are considerate of his boundaries! He warms up within a few hours and lets you know when he's done being social.<br/><br/>Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions?<br/>He does sometimes get into fights with his own reflection in the middle of the night. Before bed he also always makes biscuits (sometimes on you) while sucking on the blanket (it's the cutest thing ever). He also grooms himself like every two hours (very diligently).<br/><br/>In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt?<br/>He has so much personality! A great mix of a chilled out cat (especially because he sleeps the whole day I don't worry about him when I leave for work).
