Meet Ahsoka

Hi, I'm Asoka!

I am about one year old. I am a calm, quiet kitty who doesn't demand too much attention. I am happy just sleeping in a cozy quiet place all day and waiting for you to come home to me. I also do love to play if you play with me, the mouse is my favorite! Anything fish flavored is a perfect meal to me! My foster daddy says that I have some of the softest fur of any cat he has ever met.

Because I was dumped outside on the streets when I was very young, it does take me some time to warm up to new humans. I require time and patience. It will be a very special day when I finally feel at home again.

I am spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, combo tested negative, dewormed, and de-flea'ed.

I would do best in a home with other cats, small dogs, but please no children as I am easily startled.

Currently in foster care in Los Angeles, CA.

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats in ALL of our other spare time. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.

One of our 2 main focuses is to remove friendly cats from the streets, get them healthy and vetted in foster care, and find their purrrfect forever homes!

Our other main focus is TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccination of unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. We currently TNR roughly 24 cats/month.

When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, manage them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.

If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
Please send us an email at to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
