Agatha's Story
! ! ! ! THIS IS A COURTESY POST ! ! ! ! This means we are helping a friend find a home for Aggie. She is not in our care. TEXT INQUIRIES TO 734-752-1085

Agatha is looking for her forever home! She is a petite orange tabby lady who is estimated to be 2-4 years old. She loves being around people and is very snuggly and lets all of our staff carry her around like a baby.

Agatha LOVES to explore and play. She has been leash tested indoors, but has not walked outside on the leash. She loves all kinds of toys and will entertain herself and you while she plays!

She is extremely loving. She is extremely vocal and always purring! She enjoys being held like a baby and carried around. She'll love to have a human to follow around and cuddle with!

Agatha has had a lot of medical care. She has struggled with chronic diarrhea. This is why/how she found her way to me. Most of her diagnostics were boring. And ultrasound showed the possibility of IBS, but the usual protocol/treatment is not enough to control her symptoms. Despite this she is happy and active. Next steps for her may include seeing a specialist.

Her medical care has included:
- vaccines
- spay
- deworming (treated giardia)
- felv/fiv (negative!)
- many baseline blood work panels
- fecal PCR
- GI specific blood panel
- toxoplasma blood panel (negative)
- radiographs
- ultrasound
- dental cleaning and extractions
- histopathology for suspicious gum area
- an abundance of different foods and medications

I want to stress that GI disease is a lifelong and difficult condition to manage. She will likely need at least a regimen of prescription food and medications to control symptoms. She is currently on a steroid, which is not ideal for long term. Further diagnostics are recommended, but I cannot keep Agatha in care any longer. She deserves a home and a family. She will be an absolute TREASURE to any family who decides to take her on.

Her adoption fee is set at $300. It may seem high, but that is why I have listed all of the care she has received this far. This care is worth thousands and we are so grateful to everyone who has spent time and effort helping her get these things done. This is a great start for any veterinary specialist to work from.

! ! ! ! THIS IS A COURTESY POST ! ! ! ! This means we are helping a friend find a home for Aggie. She is not in our care.
