Meet Smudge — She'd love to bring some jingle into your life as a holiday elf!<br/><br/>Smudge is confident, independent, 2 year old and a bit of a supervisor with the most fabulous “hairstyle” ever. Smudge sports a sleek black stripe across her forehead that looks just like perfectly styled bangs — a look as bold and distinctive as her personality. She came to us in May 2025 from a colony in Reform, AL and immediately stole our hearts.<br/><br/>Upon her spay surgery, it was discovered she had survived a serious past injury — likely a vehicle strike that fractured her jaw and caused her to lose several teeth. Despite what she's been through, Smudge never let it slow her down. After a thorough dental exam and cleaning, she's now healthy, happy, and thriving! Smudge enjoys both wet and dry food (though she prefers the crunchy kind) and runs, jumps, and plays like nothing ever happened. She's the definition of resilient — and she looks fabulous doing it.<br/><br/>She is loyal companion and loves to keep tabs on her humans and everything happening in her kingdom. She would do best in a quiet home, with another calm, respectful cat who understands boundaries and/or older kids who understand cat etiquette.<br/><br/>Her one true weakness? Temptations treats. They're the key to her heart (and the best way to earn forgiveness if you dare disturb her beauty sleep).<br/><br/>If you're looking for a stunning, spirited cat who embodies strength, style, and heart — Smudge is your girl. <br/><br/>All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
