Adonis

Hello! My name is Adonis, and here's my story - I was on the lam for months in the wintertime and several rescuers tried to trap me. Of course, I was very suspicious since I did not know of their intentions, and I managed to avoid them all. But the snows came, it was cold, and I was getting weary. Rescuers continued to provide food and water, but by the time I arrived at the feeding station, racoons had already been there and dined. Between them and the weather, there was not much to eat. I managed to survive the winter and in the spring, as I was waiting at the feeding station, a nice lady arrived with provisions. I looked at her and she at me and I made a choice. I did not run. This was the day. She bent down and stroked my back and it felt good. She returned to her car, then placed a carrier in front of me and I climbed in, and this turned out to be a great decision. After taking a long look at me, she named me Adonis, which I find most appropriate since it means "a very handsome young man".<br/><br/>I am warm and safe in a foster home, well cared for and much loved. My foster parents brought home more rescues, and yes, I must admit I love thundering through the house with my hooligan counterparts and jumping over anything in our way. I adore my foster mom, but am longing for more attention and someone to love and lavish me with their praise.
