ADELE's Story

Adele is a very young and exceptionally beautiful female tabby cat. Adele adores everything catnip! She will play wildly with a catnip toy until she tires and will then cuddle with the toy as she falls asleep. Adele can be very affectionate with her foster mom but it does take a lot of time and patience to gain her trust. Adele will do best with a cat savvy human who has lots of patience since she can be reactive. Adele was most likely abused before she came to us and when scared she may scratch or bite. She is afraid of children and should be in a quiet adult only home. Adele enjoys receiving pets and treats from trusted humans. Adele is a petite little cat weighing just over 7 pounds. Her foster mom describes her as being small yet very mighty and brave! Adele would love to be an only cat (although she may enjoy the companionship of another cat) in a quiet adult only household. If you are looking for a beautiful kitty that loves to play yet is also very comfortable being alone then Adele just may be the kitty of your dreams.

Rhode Island Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a very detailed Adoption Application as well as an adoption coordinator system. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the adoption coordinator, vet records confirmed, residence status, renting/landlord information, pet permission, and employment verified then the coordinator conducts an interview with the potential adopter. If deemed a good match, the adoption coordinator forwards the information about the potential adopter to the foster. If the foster also agrees then they will have a meet and greet. At the completion of the meeting, if both parties agree the cat/kittens is a good fit an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee paid. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. All the cats and kittens in our care receive the following: checkup, spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, de-worming medicine, flea preventative, microchip, and Felv/FIV test.
