Addie's Story

Addie was surrendered to us for being aggressive with the dog in the home. Here at the shelter, Addie has also been found to pick on the other cats. She doesn't necessarily attack them from across the room, so it's possible that she could live with another cat in a larger home where they can have their own space. She'd probably prefer to be the only pet, though.

Addie was a bit of a crabapple when she first arrived, but she has really become a nice, playful girl. She enjoys toys, especially those plastic springs, and can be found carrying them around! She loves to be petted and scritched (and will paw at your leg when you walk by to demand attention), but isn't a huge fan of being picked up. She enjoys our catio, and would do well in an adults-only home folks that would enjoy having a cat around that wasn't overly clingy.

We are not 100% sure of Addie's age. Her previous owner said she was around 2 years of age, but the vet we had look at her believed her to be older than that - around 8 or so years.

Our adoption application can be found at the link below. We do look for applications to have a veterinarian listed, either a current office or one accepting new clients that you plan to use. Applications that are missing info take longer to be processed. Thank you!

https://www.secondchancear.org/adopt-1

(All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas before adoption.)
