ACE's Story
DECEMBER 2025

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.

The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.

ACE was living near a dumpster near a casino in Los Angeles County. They have a lot of cats there. They dumpster dive and there is no feeder. And because casinos are 24/7 and have lots of trash cans everywhere they dive in the trash compacting areas so many kittens get hurt or get caught inside.

So a group of independent trappers had been fixing all the feral cats and saving the kittens. ACE is one of the many that are being saved. And we were very honored to be asked to help. ACE has only known the street life for a short time. He is now living a nice pampered life.

Meet ACE, the feline embodiment of an enigma. Independent yet shy, he's a master of his own space, but always ready to play a game or two. He's goofy and funny, his antics a source of endless amusement. ACE's curiosity knows no bounds, his bravery is unmatched, and his intelligence is awe-inspiring.

Despite his energy, he's surprisingly mellow, though he can be skittish and timid at times. But don't let his shyness fool you; ACE is a cat with a heart full of love, just waiting to share it with the right person. Adopt ACE, and let his unique blend of qualities fill your life with joy and laughter.

He will need a cat / kitten buddy at his new home! You see a friendly cat will show him the ways of being a true house cat. Or he can be an only cat but will need a patient family. Check out the video on his ad here.

********************** HE IS AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT ***********************

ACE is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / EGYPTIAN MAU TABBY MIX. He is about 3 year and 6 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children or dogs.

ACE is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.

******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ******************

The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below:

****Please note we only have cats physically in MURRIETA, INDUSTY and WEST COVINA ONLY. Gas donations always appreciated!

************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.

Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.

We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

ACE is ALREADY fully vetted.
The adoption fee of $200 covers:

Neuter
FVRCP shots
RABIES shot
FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control
Microchip

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.

If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!

If you have any questions not covered here, please feel free to email us:

Workinwhiskers2020@hotmail.com
