Acadia's Story
Meet Acadia — the playful, independent beauty with a sweet heart and a spark of wild charm.

Acadia is a stunning young lady, around 3 years old, who lives for playtime. Wand toys are her absolute favorite — she'll leap, twist, and pounce with impressive athleticism, especially when feathers are involved. No box goes unexplored, no crinkle goes uninvestigated, no cat tree unclimbed, and if you sprinkle a little catnip into the mix, her day is complete. She's curious, clever, and full of personality.

Acadia gets along well with other cats, though she appreciates a slow introduction and a bit of personal space while she adjusts. She communicates her boundaries appropriately and coexists nicely with polite dogs who respect her pace. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines through in the sweetest ways.

This beautiful girl came into rescue as a stray — and pregnant. Her kittens were quickly adopted, but because Acadia wasn't used to people, she stayed in foster care to build confidence and learn that humans can be safe and kind. She has made wonderful progress, becoming more trusting, more social, and more willing to show her affectionate side. Still, she prefers to be an independent spirit rather than a velcro cat.

Acadia is looking for a quiet, patient home with a friendly resident cat who can help her continue to grow. She thrives when she has space to decompress, time to adjust, and people who understand that trust is something she gives slowly but sincerely. In the right environment, Acadia reveals exactly who she is: sweet, playful, observant, and just a little wild at heart.

If you're searching for a cat who will bring joy, entertainment, and a touch of mystery into your home — and you're willing to let her blossom at her own pace — Acadia may be the perfect match.

Check out our Facebook page to see more pictures and videos of our playful Acadia!

Please apply to adopt at www.TTRRescue.com or email TTRRescue@gmail.com with any questions.

NYS dept of agriculture license # 534

Adoption Process
Our adoption process helps match pets with their families.
