Abe's Story

Abe was found as a stray in Platte City. The Good Samaritans that came across this handsome guy realized how friendly he was and thought he deserved a chance to find a forever home so they contacted us for help.

Abe is a bit rough around the edges but that just gives him more personality. His ears are a bit beat up but he makes up for that with his gentle sweetness. Abe is outgoing and hasn't met a stranger. That quality certainly has helped him find his way to us. Now we're looking for that special person to open up their heart and home to this good looking kitty.

Abe did test positive for FIV, probably the result of living as an outdoor cat. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives (indoors) and cannot pass this on to humans or dogs. However, FIV can be passed on to other cats by way of a puncture bite wound, so it is recommended that I be the only cat in the home.

DOB 1/20/2020

If you're interested in Abe, we ask that you please fill out a "pre-adopt application" that can be found on our website: https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application. We will contact you to schedule an appointment. Thank you.
