Abby (Will have 3 Legs-Tripod)'s Story

Abby is a beautiful calico girl with a resilient spirit and a heart that refuses to quit. She was found after being hit by a car, and in a twist of incredible luck, the finder brought her to a church where a Happy Whiskers volunteer happened to be that very day. From there, Abby was rushed to the vet, where it was discovered she had both a broken hip and a broken leg.

While her hip is healing nicely, her leg is taking a bit longer. Abby is currently on strict cage rest as we monitor her progress, and we expect to know by the end of February whether her leg will heal on its own or if a leg amputation will be the best path forward. No matter the outcome, Abby’s prognosis for a happy, full life is excellent.

And Abby herself? Completely unbothered. Despite her injuries, she’s full of personality and energy, always ready to explore the moment she’s given the chance. She clearly hasn’t gotten the memo that she’s supposed to slow down.

To make adoption easier, Happy Whiskers will fully sponsor Abby’s surgery and any leg-related medical care if it’s needed. All she’ll require from her adopter is a large dog kennel to safely recover in during her healing period.

Abby is strong, affectionate, and endlessly determined — a little survivor who’s ready for a second chance and a family to call her own. If you’re looking for a special cat with a big heart and an even bigger will to live, Abby just might be your girl.

Our adoption fee includes: sterilization surgery, microchipping, deworming, age-appropriate testing, up-to-date vaccines, and monthly flea prevention.

Apply today: https://happy-whiskers.org/adopt/
