Abby's Story
Hello, I'm Abby!

I'm a young adult, approximately 4 years old. I'm spayed, vaccinated and house-trained.

I was living in Union Gap, WA outdoors with my siblings when the property owner called the rescue because they saw coyotes chasing me and my siblings. I’ve been in foster care for a bit and have slowly adjusted to trusting humans to obtain my forever home.

My eyes look intense and interesting, but I do not have an intense personality, I'm fairly reserved and shy. I long for someone to pet and love me and will give the same love in return. The veterinarian who spayed me ear-tipped me but I’m definitely not feral. My coat is quite petable, very soft and supple due to the fact that I'm an expert groomer. I'm fairly petite and although I do want to be touched and loved, due to my past I will need a little time to adjust in my forever home but I can become a true lap cat and even knead your blankets for you. I'm also quiet, not at all one of those chatty types. I currently reside with another cat but will probably do best in a home without dogs.

Would you like to meet?

As a side note, you may see that a vet ear tipped me when I was spayed because the vet doesn’t know the cats brought in from rescue therefore they ear tip us all, but I’m not feral.

Please remember that rescue cats have a past and will need someone to be patient and kind with them as they settle in to their new home. Just like humans, trust can come with time. Patience is a requirement to help these cats rebuild trust with humans, and they must remain indoors. We would be more than happy to help educate and provide advice through the rehoming process.

If you’re interested in meeting Abby, please submit an inquiry through PetFinder with questions or to schedule a time to meet, or, visit our website at uccryakima.org (http://uccryakima.org/) and click on "adoption application”,
