He is a super sweet boy, prefers kittens to adult cats and is a great kitten sitter. Very loving. He was adopted & the timing just wasn't right even though his adopter loved him. She sent this wonderful bio on Hiccup:<br/>'Hiccup is a lovely and affectionate cat who loves to give gentle “love bites” and make biscuits on blankets, on your lap, even in the air when he’s happy. He has a big heart and truly enjoys being close to people, offering much more love than he asks for.<br/><br/>Hiccup is a wonderful family cat. He does well with dogs, both big and/or small, and is patient about setting his boundaries while still remaining curious and open-minded with them. He’s very vocal in a charming way, he’ll chat with you when he wants attention, but he’s also content to be quiet and keep you company.<br/><br/>He enjoys curling up on the couch to watch TV (“the funny picture box”) with his people, exploring every nook and cranny of a home, and even seems to enjoy listening to music.<br/><br/>Hiccup is playful, adventurous, and affectionate. He's the kind of cat who will happily follow you around and always be part of the family. He would make an amazing addition to any loving home that will have him.'<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEES: Cats & Kittens under one year old are $50.00 but cats over a year old are 'name your adoption fee.' All cat adoptions include......mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your kitty home with you; basic kitty immunizations (FVR-CP+Calici); de-worming; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, etc.<br/><br/>The first step is to our Adoption Application here: https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html . Humane Society of Elmore County's Adoption Policy
Our adoption fees are $100 for dogs & $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian. We do have an Application & Appointment process to help make sure our pet is a good fit for you and you for our pet. The link below will take you to our Adoption Application. Once your application is approved we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet & adopt the pet. This process works much better for you, for our staff and for our pets as we can focus on you during your appointment. For those wanting to surrender a pet we also ask that you call to set up an appointment.
