Pet Description: Mochi is a male orange & white tabby, one-year-old as of Jan '26; Sweet boy, used to love to be held but is in a bit of an independent streak right now so rebelling against being held. ADOPTION FEES: Cats & Kittens under one year old are $50.00 but cats over a year old are 'name your adoption fee.' All cat adoptions include......mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your kitty home with you; basic kitty immunizations (FVR-CP+Calici); de-worming; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, etc. The first step is to our Adoption Application here: https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html . IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you. Humane Society of Elmore County's Adoption Policy

Our adoption fees are $100 for dogs & $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian. We do have an Application & Appointment process to help make sure our pet is a good fit for you and you for our pet. The link below will take you to our Adoption Application. Once your application is approved we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet & adopt the pet. This process works much better for you, for our staff and for our pets as we can focus on you during your appointment. For those wanting to surrender a pet we also ask that you call to set up an appointment.
