Yoshi

Hi everybody! My name is Yoshi, and I am a beautiful Quaker parrot. I am young and lively just like in Mario Kart! I came into Florida Parrot Rescue's care as a young bird due to my previous owner not having a lot of time to give me the attention I needed. My foster family helped with my rehabilitation and now I am ready to find my forever home with a family that will continue to work with me so I can grow up to be the bestest lil birb! <br/><br/>I love attention and say lots of things like, "good bird, ok, what are you doing, and bye bye." I love toys, shredding paper and I have a favorite plastic cup that I toss and carry around like a security blanket. I make a lot of people smile with my fun little antics, like tossing my favorite cup around. Plus, anyone who gets to hang out with me will be lucky to see that playful side once I warm up to them!<br/><br/>I am cage aggressive, of course, because I am a Quaker and that is what we do! Please do not let that deter you- once I am outside my cage, I am really fun to watch and just need time to get to know you. Once I do, I am a great and fun bird for you to be around! <br/><br/>Although my exact age is not known, the vet thinks I am pretty young, maybe around 2 years old. My foster home has dogs and cats, and they do not bother me one bit. I let them know who the boss in this house is! <br/><br/>I would do best in a home with someone who has had Quaker experience or previous bird experience and understands that cage aggression is typical of my breed. I am eating a healthy diet of Harrison's and Zupreem pellets.
