Winter [formerly Winnie]

Winter is a white, with sky blue patches parakeet [budgie]. He is approximately 5 years old. <br/><br/>Winter is a beautiful, very active, and vocal bird. He makes a variety of lovely sounds and adorable chatters all day long. Every now and then he can be loud. <br/><br/>He is very attached to his mirror and will step up and be tame outside of his cage only with the mirror as a training tool, but should be weaned off it. Right now, he becomes very stressed without her mirror.<br/><br/>He is not aggressive and can be hand trained but isn't quite there yet as he prefers the company of birds. He is fine around people–females and males–and dogs. <br/><br/>He likes toys and likes to take baths. <br/><br/>Because he can get very loud, he may not be best in an apartment, unless he has other birds. Winnie’s foster home tried placing him with another foster budgie, but that budgie is not interested in him at all so he sadly goes back to the mirror. He would be a great addition to a flock as he is very interested in having other bird friends.
