Sunny Parrot Conure St. Petersburg, FL

Hi! My name Sunny, and I am a beautiful Sun Conure. I was found by a kind person who brought me in and gave me to Fl Parrot Rescue. Unfortunately, my owners were not found, and I am now available for adoption.

I have settled into my foster home, and I am doing great! I am a wonderful hands-on bird with my bonded people. But it is very important to know that my personality of who I like can be unpredictable. I have bitten both men and women who I am not fond of. It is recommended to keep me in my cage when company is over because I do not like competition with my person/people. Due to my unpredictability, I would not be suited for a home with small children. When I do see my bonded person, I will fly out of my cage and land on their shoulder immediately after opening my cage. I am happy to make breakfast with my foster dad for all of my foster siblings and taste test to make sure that they have the best quality meal. I also enjoy riding on my foster dad's back while helping him with the household chores.

When I am not busy with making breakfast or cleaning the house, I love to watch tv with my foster dad. I love to be next to my bonded humans as much as possible.

I am very smart and have a small vocabulary. I do step up and will listen to commands when I want to. When I am returned to my cage, I do not scream because I know that my foster dad has to go to work, and I usually rest during that time.

I require lots of attention and once my foster dad is home, I want to be with him at all times. I would do best where I am in a home where I can continue to get that attention by my primary caretaker.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
