Squirt's Story
Meet Squirt, a 13-year-old Green Cheek Conure. She (sex unconfirmed) is an independent soul, and, like most teenagers, knows exactly what she likes and doesn't like.

When she is in the mood to step up, she will, and will happily hang out with you. When she's not interested, she will fly away or use clear body language to let you know it's "me-time." She's eager to be let out of her cage in the mornings to greet you, but when evening approaches, she is content to stay in her cage and be a little homebody.

Some of Squirt's favorite foods include fresh foods like green grapes, strawberries, and broccoli. She gobbles up her pelleted food and is an all-around good eater. She loves to play with her bell and enjoys exploring in and out of her cage.

Squirt does have a scissor beak, which means her top and lower beak grow quickly and are misaligned. Because of this, she will need routine shaping by an avian vet to ensure she can eat, play, and chirp in comfort.

Squirt's foster family sings her praises because she is so clear and direct in her communication, and laid back in her demeanor. She has lived with other birds in the past and does well with them. She's an excellent flyer, and she would like her forever home to allow her to continue stretching her wings! She is patient with children and dogs, but care should be taken to ensure her safety and for her body language to be respected.

If you are in the market for a sweet, direct bird to share your snacks with, Squirt is your girl!

Adoption fee: $200
