Spooks and Pongo (Wasilla)'s Story

** If you are interested in Spooks and Pongo, you must submit an adoption application. Instructions are at the end of this bio **

Meet Spooks and Pongo!

Spooks (grey and white) is approximately 1 year old, Pongo is approximately 10 years old.

Their relinquishing owner writes:
“I believe these two need a home that is quieter and less fast paced. They are lovely birds but easily startled. I think all my progress just keeps restarting as soon as something happens that scares them. We have improved greatly with coming out of the cage and eating millet from a person's hand.
Very sweet bonded pair, they love to sing to each other and mimic dog barks, fire alarm low battery chirp, car alarms and whistles along with music playing. They are curious little guys but cautious. They have started to catch on to target training with millet being the only thing worth getting close to a human for. They love to whistle back and forth to each other and to you. They can fly and love to climb and be on our makeshift bird perches in and around the house.

They need someone to love them and be patient with them. Someone who has experience with small birds and less chaos in the home.”

** To apply for Spooks and Pongo, please download the application from http://www.alaskabirdclub.org/aab_forms.shtml
... fill out, and attach document copy and paste into an email to:
adoption@alaskabirdclub.org **
