Meet Shanga
True to her name's meaning of "peace" in Kiswahili, Shanga is a gentle soul who has battled through unimaginable trauma to find serenity. This brave little warrior is a racing pigeon survivor who nearly lost her life in a savage predator attack that sliced open her entire neck and chest area. Despite her grievous injuries, Shanga's will to live drove her to desperately seek sanctuary by trying to enter an apartment building. Quick-thinking volunteers rushed her to an emergency veterinary clinic for life-saving surgery. Shanga has made a phenomenal recovery, regaining her full health and demonstrating her peaceful nature every step of the way. Though she bears the scars of her past, she shows nothing but gentle gratitude to her caretakers. Shanga simply longs for a loving, safe forever home where she can live out her days free from harm. Could you provide this warrior survivor with the compassionate sanctuary she deserves? Shanga hopes to find her own peace as a steadfast feathered companion.
