Hi! My name is Severus, and I am a healthy and beautiful 7-year-old Sun Conure who is ready to find my forever home where I will be loved and given lots of attention!<br/><br/>I am settling into my new foster home very well. I am on a very good diet of veggie chop in the morning, including quinoa and some pasta and in the evening, I get Zupreem Natural small pellets. I do like fruits and nuts as well.<br/><br/>I am learning how to bathe by myself. My foster dad will normally take me in the shower with him or I am sprayed but I recently went in a water bowl by myself and enjoyed it very much. I think I will be taking baths by myself pretty soon!<br/><br/>I don’t like to be handled much and I will bite if you get too close. Although my foster parents are teaching me not to do so. I am a little grumpy but will need some time to gain their trust. I like being on my foster dad’s shoulder and recently started accepting head scratches from him.... just a little bit.<br/><br/>My foster mom is teaching me tricks! I am very smart and pick them up fast, but I don’t like her touching me. If my dad is close, I will fly to his shoulder and then fly back to attack her. Thankfully my foster mom is being very patient with me. I do like getting the treats from her when I do the tricks. I am being clicker trained so I will touch the stick and get a sunflower treat! These are my favorites! Ooh, I have learned to spin also! I am still learning on how to step up on a stick since I don’t like hands yet. My foster mom wants me to get used to her handling me, but I have my reservations.... maybe in the near future.<br/><br/>I like being outside in the sun and getting fresh air, I am lucky that my foster parents have a screen patio so I’m safe there. They also put me in a smaller cage and take me outdoors when they are relaxing. If I see them going out without me, I will scream for them to take me!<br/><br/>I say hello and like to laugh with my foster parents. I call them in the morning as soon as I wake up to come be with me!
