Ruby's Story
Ruby is an approximately 24-year old DNA-Sexed Ruby Macaw. She is tame and handlable but is fairly plucked. She has been thoroughly vet checked including bloodwork. She does have a strong personality and an even stronger bite. Ruby does have some heart issues and will require daily medication.

PLEASE NOTE: Adoption applications for any Macaws will not be considered unless the applicant has previous large bird experience. Because large birds are so intelligent and have specific needs to live a happy life, we require their adopters to have personal experience living with/caring for large birds. If applying, please be prepared to detail personal experience. The best way to gain experience is to volunteer! We are always accepting new volunteer applications!

Ruby's adoption fee is $1200.

If you are interested in adoption, please go to www.centerforanimalrehab.org, read our Adoption Policies, and fill out the Adoption Application. Once your application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet with you/your family.

We are located in Waukesha, WI and do not ship. All adopters must live within a 100 mile radius. We do not adopt birds to households that have the opposite gender birds.
