Rowan & Reba's Story

Meet Rowan & Reba! They are a bonded pair of young Khaki Campbell ducks that found themselves cruelly abandoned at the Wissahickon Creek. They are a bonded male-female pair with the zippy, skittish personality typical of Khaki Campbells. They are likely around 1-2 years old. Rowan has an extremely gentle, passive personality for a drake, and would likely get along with a flock that has one or more other drakes in it. However, he does have a history of being bullied by other males, so this pair would also do great in a flock that only contains females - or particularly with females that are older or require a gentle drake that will not mate with them. He just wants to be friends and look after them!

Rowan & Reba have completed a full quarantine and tested negative for parasites. Transport is available almost anywhere to a responsible home!

---

ADOPTION CRITERIA:

As flightless domestic ducks, Rowan & Reba need a safe and secure area (such as an aviary or run) during the daytime when not directly supervised. During the nighttime, they need a fully enclosed coop to be safe from predators. We also ask that our adopters have access to an avian veterinarian in case of illness or injury. No pond? No problem! Domestic waterfowl do much better with kiddie pools that can be scrubbed and refilled regularly for their health.

Nowhere near Pennsylvania? Also not a problem! We do long-distance transport for loving waterfowl homes regularly. Please still get in touch and fill out an application if you'd like to be the lucky adopter of a pair of rescue ducks!

For new waterfowl caretakers, or experienced flock guardians, we provide support and guidance for life. Please adopt so that we have the space to rescue another one in urgent need!

APPLICATION:

https://forms.gle/Gr712tt5Jwnc5KwJ8

INQUIRIES: hello@sweetpeacesanctuary.org
