Romeo's Story

Hello there! My name is Romeo, and I'm a young cockatiel with a big heart and a lot to say!
The nice people who checked me over think I'm probably under a year old, and my vet gave me a clean bill of health. I'm a happy little guy who loves being part of whatever you're doing. If you're nearby, chances are I'll want to come hang out and chat with you.
I'm still learning some important bird skills. I haven't quite mastered stepping up yet, but I'm friendly and curious and want to be involved. With a little patience and positive reinforcement, I'm sure I'll continue building my confidence.
When it comes to food, I enjoy a healthy mix of seeds and pellets. Fruits and vegetables are still a bit suspicious in my opinion, but I'm willing to consider them... eventually. One thing I know for certain, though: millet is amazing and will always be my favorite treat!
I love to sing, whistle, and communicate with my people. Whether I'm showing off my latest tune or simply chirping to let you know what I think, I enjoy being part of the conversation.
I'm not cage aggressive and don't mind people being around my space. In fact, I generally prefer company whenever I can get it.
One thing you'll notice about me is that my feathers look a little different. It appears that someone in my past may have over-groomed my wing feathers, and because of that, we're not sure whether my flight feathers will grow back normally. Even so, I don't let that get me down. I'm a cheerful little bird who focuses on enjoying life one day at a time.
If you're looking for a sweet, social companion who loves attention, conversation, and the occasional spray of millet, I just might be your perfect match.

Foster Location: Valrico, FL

Interested in adoption?
