Rico and Sage's Story

Hi everyone! You may recognize of us from a previous listing for adoption. If not, we will tell you a little about us. We were adopted not too long ago but sadly, through no fault of our own, we were returned to FPR's care. Our adoptive parent loved us very much but due to having to travel a lot for a new job, they did not want us to be left alone for long periods of time. They wanted us to be able to find a new home where we can continue to have lots of out of cage time and attention.

We are a brother and sister bonded pair of cockatiels. I, Rico, am a confirmed female as I have laid 2 eggs. My brother is Sage. We are 5 years old. We are very friendly and sit on shoulders, although we are always on the move! We love to forage for snacks and climb around on top of our cage. Mr. Sage can whistle a tune— his foster doesn’t know what it is, but it’s his own little song. Sage also talks, but you have to listen closely! I am clever and quiet— great at finding food hidden around the cage. We eat pellets and seeds, and we like to try human food also. We’re always angling for a bite if you’re sitting on the couch with something tasty.

We are a set of fun birds who will make great companions! If would like to meet us, fill out the application below.

Rico and Sage would love a "Welcome to Foster" gift.
