Quaker-yellow-green READ INFO FIRST's Story
QUAKER -YELLOW GREEN, (rare color), sex unknown, 4 yrs old. Very handleable. Not a noisy bird. Recently vet checked. Needs a cage with lots of toys. Came in on pellets only. Needs to be introduced to fruits/veggies, etc. Needs an adult home. Cage territorial like all quakers are. May nip just being playful. Talks fluently. We have a list for the adopter. Tame, was handled, wings are clipped. This bird does not like being grabbed out of its cage. It needs to come out on its own time. Is happy with its toys. Must have toys in the cage. This bird may not have liked its previous home. Only guessing here…

Ohio law states quaker ownership is OK'd only if their wings are kept clipped for its entire life. Some states ban quaker ownership entirely.

Picture soon.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Interested? You must be open to answering our questions. Expect an interview, Application to fill in, approval (or not). Visiting is after approval, by appointment. We must meet the potential owner in person, no gifting is allowed.

Final approval is pending our seeing an actual picture of the cage you will be using. No homemade cages, ferret or dog cages, or just housing the bird on a stand with no cage. Sorry to have to mention this fact, but we have run into these issues before with inexperienced parrot owners. The adopter must be familiar with the safety management of owning a parrot, and our Application covers these questions.

Next….email Fran at aparrottoaflamingo@gmx.com to start your interview.
Website is:

No reply yet?
