Pickles's Story
Pickles is a very special boy who tugged at many hearts with our social media post showing the tiny, dirty wrought iron cage that he lived in since the 1980s, never outside of the cage. Pickles has done so great transitioning to a new large clean cage, bravely exploring outside of it and on a play stand. Pickles can sound exactly like a cat, dog and crow. Pickles is very chill, enjoys head scritches, is getting better with eating fresh veggies and has fully transitioned to a pelleted diet. Yay, Pickles! We are still working on being comfortable stepping up and addressing an eye issue with a specialist. Pickles has inflammation of his corneas, and he has been doing very good with daily eye drops. They are helping, and we look forward to his 3-month re-check. A calm, patient family would be best.
