Pekin Ducks's Story

IndyCLAW has a family of 7 Pekin ducks looking for homes! They are separated into two groups; one is two females and one male and the other group is four male brothers. IndyCLAW is looking for an adopter who will love them as pets, and not food. They do need a safe shelter to stay protected from predators and weather. The right home would have a pond with an aerator that keeps it from freezing in the winter. It would also be best if there were some kind of building or shed they could be locked into at night or days of extreme cold. A pond island is also a good way to protect ducks from predators during decent weather. An adoption fee can be agreed upon finding an adopter. IndyCLAW Rescue's Adoption Policy

Policies differ depending on the pet. For rabbits; there would be a requirement for indoor housing, proper care, food and exercise. For cats; indoor housing, proper care, food and exercise. Cats cannot be declawed as that procedure seriously damages the cat's health and welfare. For dogs; indoor living, fencing relative to the dog's activity needs and personality. Proper care, food and exercise needs would also impact any restrictions.
