Ned's Story
At 25 years old, Ned and Nadine are a bonded pair of Nanday Conures who know exactly what they like: each other, fresh veggies, shreddable toys, and being admired from a respectful distance. They are active, curious, and full of personality, but they are not looking for a hands-on relationship with people.

While they remain timid around humans, their confidence continues to grow in foster care. They have very clear body language and will happily accept treats when their boundaries are respected. Both will now take nutriberries directly from a hand. Ned is especially enthusiastic about snacks, while Nadine often accepts hers and promptly drops it, which still counts as progress in her book.

These two have recently discovered the joy of toys, particularly anything they can shred. Sola balls are a huge hit and do not stand a chance in their cage. Enrichment time is clearly becoming a favorite part of their day and adds to their already lively personalities.

Food is still a highlight for both of them, with fresh veggies being a top favorite. They are still learning about pellets and continuing to work toward better eating habits in foster care. Bathing is not their favorite activity, but they will tolerate a light mist to stay fresh.

As typical Nandays, Ned and Nadine are very loud and are not suitable for apartments or shared-wall living situations. They are looking for a calm, patient home that will respect their boundaries and enjoy their company without expectations of handling. Most of the time, they can be found side by side on their favorite rope perch, shredding toys or watching the world together.

If you have space in your heart and your home for two spirited senior birds who truly just want to be birds, Ned and Nadine might be the perfect pair for you.
Adoption Fee: $300 for both birds
