Missy

Meet Missy! She is an adorable Pekin Duck. Missy was rescued after being abandoned at a pond. She has some tearing in her webbing on one of her feet, but unfortunately not much can be done for webbing tears. It doesn't affect her quality of life, but it can make her more prone to bumblefoot. Having lots of soft bedding will help prevent this! Ducks are sweet, often friendly birds who, if well socialized, love pets and affection! If you want to befriend a duck, a surefire way is to offer them some treats! Ducks are herd animals, so Missy will need to be adopted with another duck if you don't already have any at home. Ducks living requirements also include a completely enclosed area for the birds to be secured in at night every night, to prevent predator attacks. We also require one male to be adopted per two female. Each of our ducks receive a band before adoption.

Are you interested in adopting Missy? Fill out our application today! She is currently located at a foster's home in Kaysville, Utah.
